It might not be Lapland, but our city can still put on a good festive show, even from within the concrete jungle. The Manchester Markets celebrate their 25th anniversary this year and there are 225 stalls across the nine sites - more than ever before.
Our What's On team were there first thing to meet Pat Karney, who this year shunned his traditional Santa hat in favour of a Simpsons-themed festive jumper.
