mirror.co.ukA pregnant woman has been shot dead by intruders while giving birth in her home in South Africa. Shaida Nathan and the baby she was delivering were unable to be saved by paramedics and both died at the scene.
According to reports, gunmen burst into the 32-year-old victim’s shack in the Scottsdene area of Kraaifontein on the Western Cape.
Two men accompanying the mother-of-three at the time of the shooting on Sunday evening, have been hospitalised after being wounded in the attack.
According to reports, one of the men is believed to have been the intended target. It is unclear if the shooting was gang related.
