The mum of a teenage boy who died after being stabbed at a school in Sheffield has said his last words to her as he left that morning were 'I love you'.

Harvey Willgoose, 15, died on Monday (February 3) after he was injured at All Saints Catholic High School, in Granville Road, at about 12.17pm.

A court heard he had been stabbed in the heart with a hunting knife. The defendant, also 15, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared at Sheffield Youth Court on Wednesday charged with murder, possession of a bladed article and affray.

He was remanded into youth detention accommodation by District Judge Tim Spruce to appear before the city’s crown court on Thursday (February 6).
