Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), also known by her nickname J.Lo, is an American actress, singer, dancer, fashion designer, producer and businesswoman. In 1991, Lopez began appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993. For her first leading role in the 1997 Selena biopic of the same name, Lopez received a Golden Globe nomination and became the first Latin actress to earn over US$1 million for a film. She went on to star in Anaconda (1997) and Out of Sight (1998), later establishing herself as the highest-paid Latin actress in Hollywood.

More than one million NHS staff get pay rise but strikes could continue - here's why

More than a million NHS staff in England are to receive a pay rise after health unions have approved the controversial deal from the government.

Staff including ambulance workers, nurses, physios and porters will receive a five per cent pay rise, along with a one-off sum of at least £1,655.

The pay deal was signed off at a meeting between the government and 14 health unions representing all NHS staff, apart from doctors and dentists.

The government hoped to bring months of staff walking out in their thousands, which began at the end of 2022, to a close. But the final deal continues to be the source of division among striking staff, with three unions threatening to carry on strike action - which could lead to more delays for patients.
