Arsenal have emerged as potential suitors for out-of-favour Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo, according to reports. Cancelo was sent out on loan in January, joining Bayern Munich after growing frustrated over a lack of football at City.
The Portugal international had been a guaranteed starter under Pep Guardiola, but the emergence of Rico Lewis and Nathan Ake's form at left-back provided him with stern competition that he appeared unwilling to entertain.
City fans booed the defender when he returned to the Etihad with Bayern during the Champions League quarter-final clash in April, with the expectation that he will move on permanently this summer.
