A total of 905 children and 53 staff members are currently self isolating in Trafford.A report presented at Trafford council’s pandemic scrutiny committee states: “The number of children impacted by the need to isolate as a result of COVID cases is approximately 905 and 53 staff members, therefore the wider impact is significant.“Remote learning is put into place during the 14 day isolation period.”The report said there are currently 23 schools and two early years education providers known to have seen positive cases of coronavirus as of September 18.The majority of cases across Trafford are in primary schools.A total of 14 primary schools now have had positive cases confirmed, with seven cases in secondary schools and two in the borough’s.
