Armed police swarmed a street in Oldham on Thursday afternoon (January 16) after a man was left seriously injured in a shooting.
It’s believed a man on a motorcycle fired shots at a group of men exiting a taxi on Shaw Road at around 12.30pm, before fleeing the scene.
One man, who was shot at, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Multiple cordons were put in place on Shaw Road, Mortimer Street, the junction of Bower Street and Gould Street, and Huddersfield Road amid investigations into the attack.
Video footage shared online showed the moment armed officers raced to Almond Road in the Watersheddings area of Oldham at around 1.15pm.
