Joe Otterson TV Reporter Mindy Kaling‘s new Netflix comedy series set in the world of pro basketball has added five new cast members, Variety has learned.
The new cast members are: Fabrizio Guido (“Good Burger 2,” “Perry Mason,” “Mr. Iglesias”), Toby Sandeman (“Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” “The Game,” “Love Is_”), Chet Hanks (“Your Honor,” “Shameless,” “Empire”), Keyla Monterroso Mejia (“Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Abbott Elementary,” “You’re Cordially Invited”), and Roberto Sanchez (“Queen of the South,” “BMF,” “2 Fast 2 Furious”).
They join previously announced series lead Kate Hudson in the show, along with cast members Brenda Song, Drew Tarver and Scott MacArthur.
The untitled series received a 10-episode order at Netflix in June 2021. The official logline for the series states, “When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Hudson) is appointed President of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business.
