It’s really easy to forget, given it happened roughly 3 years ago —though I do mean in 2020 years— but earlier this year, before the second age of dark times, Lee Isaac Chung’s “Minari” was the big winner at the Sundance Film Festival.
Starring Steven Yeun (“Burning“) and based on a simple premise—a Korean family moves to Arkansas to start a farm in the 1980s—Chung’s movie took home all the major dramatic prizes in Utah, both the Grand Jury Prize for Drama, and the Audience Award for the U.S.
