The Wrecking Ball singer turned to hairstylist Sally Hershberger in January to have her locks chopped into an edgy, classic mullet, but when she decided she wanted to turn her look into a “pixie mullet” this week, she had to connect with Hershberger virtually, with her mother Tish following the stylist’s advice and carrying out the cuts.
In an interview with People, Hershberger explained that she made sure the mother-daughter duo had the right equipment before the session took place and demonstrated the moves on a wig over FaceTime. “Instead of just telling them the step-by-step instructions, I physically do the cut with them.
