Mikel Arteta is "really excited" to work with Arsenal's new director of football operations Richard Garlick. The Emirates shake-up continues with the appointment of the current Premier League director of football.
Arsenal were on the search for a new senior figure after Huss Fahmy announced he would be leaving in October. No date has yet been finalised for Garlick succeeding Fahmy but the Gunners had pinpointed him as their No 1 candidate.
Arteta, who saw his own role change from head coach to first-team manager in the summer, has spoken highly of Garlick's skillset.
