Mikel Arteta has doubled down on Arsenal's decision to keep David Luiz on the pitch against Wolves after suffering a head injury.
But admits concussion substitutes, like they have in rugby, would give doctors more time to make correct decisions. Luiz clashed heads with Wolves' Raul Jimenez on Sunday, with the latter needing immediate hospital attention after suffering a fractured skull.
Gunners defender Luiz suffered a cut to his head, and after being assessed by Arsenal's medical staff, was deemed fit to continue playing.
The decision received criticism, with some suggesting it was dangerous for Luiz to continue playing on with blood seeping through a bandage on his head.
