Midsomer Murders appears to have been pulled from the ITV schedule, despite only the first episode of the latest series having aired. The 23rd season of the hit show kicked off on Sunday, 14 April on ITV.
However, Midsomer Murders is not in the TV schedule for the following Sunday. A new episode of Britain's Got Talent fills the Sunday evening slot, despite Midsomer Murders traditionally airing on consecutive Sundays.
BGT will air from 7.40pm until 9pm, followed by the premiere of Richard Armitage’s new thriller, Red Eye. It has not yet been confirmed when the rest of the 23rd season of Midsomer Murders will air.
Fans reacted to the mysterious schedule shake-up on social media, with some questioning why ITV has aired one episode with no confirmed plans for the rest of the season.
