The body of a man has been pulled from the sea in Blackpool. Emergency crews were called to the scene close to the South Pier at around 7.30pm last night (May 1) following reports of a body in the water.
Police, paramedics and HM Coastguard responded, as well as the RNLI crew. A police cordon was put in place on the promenade, with people urged to keep away from the area.

Lancashire Police said his family have been informed. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
