Disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti is scheduled to go to trial April 26 for allegedly stealing $300,000 from former client Stormy Daniels and forging her signature.
The date for the approximately two-week trial was set during a telephone hearing Tuesday in Manhattan federal court. Prosecutors allege that Avenatti embezzled funds that the adult film actress earned from her memoir “Full Disclosure,” which includes passages about her alleged pre-White House affair with President Trump.
