Thomas Markle's ex-wife, Roslyn Markle has revealed the true reason behind Meghan Markle's detachment from certain family members, putting it primarily down to "distance".Prince Harry's remarks on BBC Radio 4 back in 2017 sparked outrage when he suggested that the Royal Family were Meghan's "family she never had".
His comments came after Meghan's first Christmas celebration with the Royal Family at Sandringham in Norfolk, England, OK! reports.Meghan's brother, Thomas Markle Jr, was quick to shoot back that she "had a really good family" and "got everything she ever wanted".Nonetheless, Roslyn, who was wed to Meghan's father back in the 1960s, shared her insights into Meghan's familial relationships during an interview with Radar Online, as reported by the Daily Star in 2017.Shutting down expected beliefs about a family fall out, Roslyn claimed that their separation wasn't due to any rift.
She said: "It's not tension. It's distance."She explained: "When Meghan graduated from high school, she went to Northwestern which is up in Illinois.
And when she finished that, she worked in Argentina. Then she started Suits and she started her acting career. It was the scenario that everyone got busy, and the distance was always a factor."
