Meghan Markle has been removed from the Invictus Games schedule and has apparently been replaced by a German television presenter.
The official guide for the Paralympic-style sporting competition, founded by Prince Harry in 2014, initially suggested that the Duchess of Sussex would go on stage at the closing ceremony to present a segment about the competitor's lives.However, Meghan's name now appears to be missing from a listing on the website detailing the eight-day long event, which begins in Düsseldorf, Germany, this Saturday, September 9.
Instead, the schedule now says that German TV host Hadnet Tesfai will take Meghan's place, the Express reports.According to Mail Online, the passage, which has now been removed, said Meghan would "take to the stage to host the intimate and moving glimpse into the extraordinary journeys of the Invictus Games competitors".The removal of Meghan's name has prompted much confusion about what role the 42-year-old duchess will play at the event, if any.However, sources have now claimed that the information was "uploaded in error".Meghan is still expected to be joining her husband at the games for injured military personnel and veterans, which kicks off the day after the first anniversary of the late Queen Elizabeth II's death.
