Meghan Markle's claim that she was hastily taught to curtsey by Sarah Ferguson just before meeting the Queen has been branded as false by sceptics.The Duchess of Sussex has faced criticism from royal commentators after a clip from her old TV show 'Suits' surfaced, showing Meghan performing a curtsey long before her romance with Prince Harry began.
Despite this, in their Netflix series, Meghan recounted being quickly coached on Royal protocol right before her first encounter with Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
In the docuseries, Meghan shared: "I mean. it's surreal.There wasn't like some big moment of 'Now you're gonna meet my grandmother'.
I didn't know I was going to meet her until moments before." "We were in the car and we were going to the Royal Lodge for lunch, and he [Harry] was like, 'Oh, my grandmother is here, she's gonna be there after church.' I remember we were in the car, driving and he's [Harry] like, 'You know how to curtsy, right? '.
