Absence doesn’t always make the heart grow fonder. Royal family members were "quietly pleased" that Meghan Markle did not fly to Britain with husband Prince Harry to attend Prince Philip’s funeral service, according to a new chapter in the ex-royals’ biography, "Finding Freedom" (via the Independent).
Per the book, they were afraid her attendance would create "a circus" or "a spectacle" following the pair’s bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview, which aired a month prior to Philip’s passing.
