Meghan Markle drops first Archetypes Spotify podcast episode with Serena Williams

Serena's appearance comes after the tennis star announced that she would be retiring from the sport after the 2022 US open. In an interview with Vogue, she confirmed that she would be "evolving away from tennis" after crashing out of this year's Wimbledon championship in the first round.

The release of Meghan's first podcast comes after the former royal received the news that her animated series Pearl has been cancelled by Netflix.

This led some commentators to speculate that the couple might have announced their upcoming UK visit early to enable crowds to gather for Netflix cameras.
