A private tutor who ‘took advantage’ of a vulnerable teenager for her ‘own sexual gratification’ has been jailed after the boy’s mum discovered inappropriate messages on his phone.
Holly Rouse-Sweeney, 37, organised to meet the teenage boy at her former home after teaching him maths online. A court heard she then had sexual contact with him on several occasions – despite being fully aware he was under the age of consent.
Rouse-Sweeney was rumbled when the boy's mother found inappropriate WhatsApp messages on his phone and contacted police in May last year. She later pleaded guilty to two counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a boy, and four counts of causing a boy to engage in sexual activity.
