Married at First Sight Australia viewers issued the same complaint just minutes into the 2025 series.The popular reality series returned to E4 on Monday (March 3) night, with a fresh batch of singletons embarking on their marital journeys.

As is tradition, the first episode began with the stag and hen nights, which saw the grooms and brides meet each other and share their hopes for the experiment.

One cast member instantly ruffled feathers at the stag do, as 35-year-old business owner Eliot began listing his "non-negotiables" in a future wife. "I have very high standards.The way I see it is high standards are you protecting against wasting your time with the wrong person," Eliot explained.

He said he would not entertain the thought of a marriage with a "trashy, obnoxious" woman, and admitted that he wouldn't go through with the ceremony if he didn't like the look of his bride.
