The first race of the 2025 F1 season has just come to an end! The 2025 Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix just took place at Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit on Sunday (March 16) in Melbourne, Australia.
After starting on pole position, Lando Norris held the lead for much of the race, until the rain closer to the end, but he was able to regain the lead and drove it all the way home! Keep reading to find out more… This marks Lando‘s fifth win ever and within just the past year.
He helps his team McLaren, who won the 2024 Constructor Championship, continue the lead into the 2025 season. The race had a rough start, not just because of the rain, but there was an aborted start after Racing Bulls rookie Isack Hadjar crashed into the wall during the formation lap.
After the race started, another rookie, Jack Doohan, hit the wall, bringing out the yellow flag and the safety car, followed by Carlos Sainz also hitting the wall.
