MARK Wright suffered a blow as Channel 5 show The Bachelor is axed because bosses want to "focus on more established stars".
Producers cancelled the dating show after just one season following bad ratings and reviews from critics. Bosses hoped Mark Wright fronting the revived UK version of the US smash hit dating show would provide it with a boost in viewing figures.
A spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Star Sunday: "We can confirm that The Bachelor will not be returning for another series on Channel 5."
