Marilyn Monroe transformed into modern cover model for fashion shoot
msn.comCR Fashion Book China found a new way to make the beloved actress their cover star for its upcoming magazine issue. The fourth issue of the publication features a digitized version of Monroe, who’s image has also been modernized in the shoot digitally curated by CR’s Founder and Creative Director, Carine Roitfeld.
With eight different covers set, which are already available on international newsstand, the actress is seen wearing contemporary designs by the likes of Miu Miu, Fendi, Balmain and Balenciaga.
However, the shoot has sparked outrage with some fans of the entertainer as many took to social media to voice concerns about the way her image is being used.
One Twitter user stated: 'The amount of content using her face lately doesn’t feel like homage to me, they’re just exploiting a person that can’t allow or deny this only to sell magazines and merchandise, this is wrong. 'Another argued: 'The main thing she wanted was to not be exploited and instead people have gone out of their way to do so.
