Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Marcus Rashford has sent an impassioned message to all MPs declaring "this was never about me or you" following the Government U-turn on providing free school meals to vulnerable children.
The Man Utd and England striker has been campaigning vehemently to persuade the Department of Education to reverse their decision not to supply meals throughout the summer holidays.
After his initial pleas were knocked back, the Government eventually bowed to public pressure on Tuesday, announcing a £120million 'Covid summer food fund'.
Rashford, 22, was overjoyed at the response, and said: "Just look at what we can do when we come together," before addressing MPs across the country with his latest tweet.
