Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Marcus Rashford has said more than 3.7 million meals are now being supplied to vulnerable people during the pandemic, following on from his successful campaign to extend the government's free school meals scheme over summer.The 22-year-old Manchester United ace is working with national food charity Fareshare to feed vulnerable people during the coronavirus lockdown.Today, he took to Twitter to announce that the charity is now supplying 3.7 million meals each week."Thank you ALL for your support!!
Have a great Sunday," he posted to his 2.9 million followers.Rashford wrote an open letter to MPs this week urging the government to reverse its decision not to award free school meals vouchers in England – for which nearly 1.3 million children are.
