Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has backed Kieran McKenna to one day return to Manchester United thanks to his brilliant spell at Ipswich Town.
McKenna left Old Trafford in December 2021 after spending more than three years on the senior coaching staff. The 37-year-old was initially brought into the United first team set-up by Jose Mourinho but was kept on by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
After the Norwegian was fired, McKenna soon made the decision to branch out and take up his first managerial job at Ipswich, replacing Paul Cook.
The decision proved to be a successful one as he led the Tractor Boys back to the Championship last season as runners-up to Plymouth Argyle.
