Jadon Sancho has admitted a return to Borussia Dortmund was 'always on his mind' during his time with Manchester United. United signed Sancho from Dortmund for £72.8million in the summer of 2021 and former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggested he could become one of the world's best players.
However, Sancho failed to hit the same heights in the Premier League and a public disagreement with Erik ten Hag in September led to him re-signing for Dortmund on loan. Dortmund is where Sancho has played his best football and he reiterated how much he enjoys representing them in a recent interview on their YouTube channel.
He also admitted a return to Dortmund was always on his mind and that he discussed the prospect of re-signing with Marco Reus after a pre-season game last summer. "Happiness, enjoyment, fun and energy," Sancho said when asked for the words to describe his first Dortmund stint. "Those would be the words and ever since I departed Dortmund, I always kept in touch with the players here, always watching the games.
