United claimed a point on their first visit to Spurs's stadium on Friday night and had a whopping 61 per cent of possession to Tottenham's 39 - the exact opposite of the possession stats from United's 1-0 victory over Tottenham in the corresponding fixture last term.
That match marked Solskjaer's breakthrough in his sixth match as caretaker manager but United were indebted to a colossal performance from David de Gea, who made 11 saves.
By the time Solskjaer was installed on a permanent basis in late March, United had started to tire and won two of their last 12 matches.
