David De Gea will reportedly have until the end of the season to prove himself before a decision is made on Dean Henderson competing for the No.
1 jersey at Manchester United. There is a growing clamour for the 23-year-old keeper, currently on loan at Sheffield United, to replace De Gea at Old Trafford after the Spaniard’s poor recent form.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has publicly supported his No. 1 following his mistake against Tottenham last week, which has raised the prospect of Henderson fighting for his place when his loan ends at Bramall Lane.
According to The Telegraph , the call on Henderson will be made when the final eight games of his campaign are completed, giving De Gea time to prove himself as Solskjaer’s first-choice goalkeeper..
