Gary Neville has urged David de Gea to get ‘back to basics’ at Manchester United. The Spanish stopper has not been able to find his best form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the form of loanee Dean Henderson at Sheffield United has put his first-team position under threat.
The 29-year-old’s failure to to keep out Steven Bergwijn’s low drive against Tottenham on Friday evening which has once again led to questions about his form, with Roy Keane suggesting that his team-mates should have been livid.
Neville has now offered his thoughts on the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper, admitting that his form has been below par for a long period of time.
