A Manchester United executive who was found to be nearly twice over the drink-drive limit following a car crash has managed to avoid a conviction.
Emily Scott, 26, a marketing manager for the club, failed both breath and blood tests after her VW Polo overturned and landed in a ditch near her £300,000 barn conversion home in Cheshire.
However, she argued that she had sustained a head injury in the accident and hadn't received any medical treatment before being questioned by the police.
She also disputed the accuracy of the blood test reading.
