Harry Maguire has moved to thank the 'classy' David Beckham as the Manchester United legend called him last month after being jeered by Scotland fans.
Maguire has often been a target for mockery and abuse from crowds in recent years, with the centre-back even being booed by a minority of United supporters during friendlies in pre-season.
Maguire scored an own-goal after coming on as a substitute in England's 3-1 win over Scotland last month, with his every touch being ironically cheered by the home fans in Glasgow.
Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate lept to Maguire's defence after the match, labelling the treatment the 30-year-old receives as an 'absolute joke'.
