United struggled to control the game having taken the lead and they were pegged back just before half time as Omari Hutchinson’s strike flicked off Noussair Mazraoui’s head and looped over Andre Onana.
Neither side could find a winner in the second half as Amorim was forced to settle for a point from his first game in charge.
