Old Trafford midfielder Fred is among them with the 29-year-old omitted. Liverpool trio Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino, Arsenal pair Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli and Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes are also missing.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar is injured but Barcelona winger Raphinha is also absent, with stand-in manager Ramon Menezes, Brazil's Under-20s boss, placing an emphasis on youth.
