Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has admitted he will be taking time away from football after being sacked by Birmingham City.
The 38-year-old arrived at St Andrews in October after John Eustace was surprisingly fired with the club sixth in the second tier.
Since his arrival, Rooney has overseen an awful run of results picking up just two victories in 15 games. Nine defeats during this spell have left Birmingham just six points above the drop zone and 20th in the Championship.
In their statement announcing Rooney's exit, the West Midlands club declared results as the biggest factor behind their decision.
