Manchester United have inserted a buy-back option into Sevilla's agreement to sign Hannibal Mejbri. Mejbri, 20, has agreed to join Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the season and the Spanish club have the option to sign him permanently for £17million.
Should Sevilla take up that option, a buy-back clause would become live in Mejbri's contract. Sources have described the deal as complicated but United regard Mejbri's valuation and the buy-back clause as upsides.
Contrary to a report, the Ineos Group did not intervene to adjust the terms of the deal.
