The LaLiga outfit would probably have hoped for a better start to Hannibal's stint at the club, but ultimately, it was announced on Saturday that he will not be considered for selection for the foreseeable future.
The 21-year-old made his debut for the Spanish side last weekend after completing the move from Manchester United earlier this month.
He was then left out of the squad for the midweek defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey and will miss the league clash against Osasuna on Sunday.
Manager Quique Sanchez Flores said: "After being with him, talking to him and having seen his first minutes in Girona, we are going to give him the necessary space to understand where he is, that he is at Sevilla and what it means.
