Young Manchester United goalkeeper Jacob Carney has signed his first professional contract with the club. The 19-year-old, who has trained with the first team on occasion in the past season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, made the announcement on his own Twitter page, as United complete a series of contract extensions ahead of the summer.
Carney also spent part of last season on loan with non-league outfit Stockbridge Park Steels, the club at which Leicester's Jamie Vardy started his career.
Carney also made just a solitary appearance for United's Under-23s in the 2019/20 season. He travelled to Malaga in Spain for the first team squad's warm-weather training camp in February to accompany senior goalkeepers David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee
