Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly has emerged as a shock target for new Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte. That is according to a report by journalist Duncan Castles who, speaking on The Transfer Window podcast, claims that the Italian is keen to bolster his Spurs defence with two new central defenders.
Conte, who was heavily linked with the United job until replacing Nuno Espirito Santo at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this month, is understandably keen to add to his squad in north London and put his own stamp of authority on proceedings.
It is claimed that the lively Italian wants to add two 'starting centre-backs' to his ranks and Bailly, who joined United back in 2016, is an 'option'.
