Speculation surrounding Eric Ramsay should not come as a great surprise to Manchester United given his stock as a coach. Once again, the Welshman is being linked with a managerial role in the English Football League - at League One side Blackpool, who have been previous admirers of the 31-year-old.
The Seasiders have just been relegated from the Championship and it remains to be seen who succeeds Mick McCarthy on a permanent basis, with Stephen Dobbie having taken interim charge at the end of the season.
Ramsay has reportedly emerged as a candidate though, with Blackpool having wanted to hold talks with the United man back in January.
Erik ten Hag and co stepped in, though, to prevent a move from transpiring. Ramsay is clearly highly regarded at United - where his popularity with the players has been made common knowledge.
