Both Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in midfielder Saul Niguez due to his uncertain future at Atletico Madrid, according to reports.
Saul has developed into one of Europe’s best midfielders in recent seasons under the tutelage of Diego Simeone and, as a result, Atletico were keen to keep him tied down to the club, which they did as he signed a nine-year contract in 2017 which will run until 2026.
With a reportedly huge release clause inserted as well, it seemed as though the 25-year-old wouldn’t be going anywhere anytime soon but, according to Mundo Deportivo, via SportWitness, there is uncertainty surrounding his future as Atletico have been trying to extend his deal further but to no avail.
