There could be some exits from Manchester United before deadline day, including that of Donny van de Beek. Real Sociedad were keen on the out-of-favour Dutchman, although interest from the La Liga side has cooled in recent weeks.
Foot Mercato now says French club Lorient are set to strike a deal for Van de Beek, who is yet to play this season. It claims the Ligue 1 outfit have agreed loan terms with United but will now have to convince the player himself of a move with there said to be several offers from elsewhere on the table.
Early indications, it says, suggest Van de Beek is not keen on a move to Lorient and is setting perceived higher ambitions albeit time is running out for a decision to be made. The former Leeds full-back was apparently one option being considered on a shortlist containing Marc Cucurella and others. However, Villarreal see Pedraza as one of their key players and were against United's approach, especially given it was for a loan deal.
