Emergency services descended on the Manchester suburb shortly after 9am this morning after being ‘called to reports to the concern of the welfare of a man on the tram tracks between the Crumpsall and Abraham Moss’ stations.
When they arrived, a man, 44, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene ‘despite the best work of paramedics’. There are no suspicious circumstances, police have since said.
