Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy has arrived at court today ahead of a rape trial. The French international faces a string of sex crime allegations.
He is accused of nine charges - including seven counts of rape, involving six alleged victims. This morning (May 23), the footballer arrived at Chester Crown Court for a two-day pre-trial hearing.

He wore a face covering outside the court as he arrived. Mendy, 27, of Prestbury, Cheshire, is charged with seven counts of rape relating to four women; one count of sexual assault; and one count of attempted rape.
