Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay Ansu Fati's £153m release clause, despite their reluctance at forking out Borussia Dortmund's £108m asking price for Jadon Sancho.
The finances involved in the Sancho deal would also include the player's £300,000-a-week wages and a bumper agent fee but it seems unlikely that the Red Devils would abandon their pursuit of Sancho over the price and then pursue Fati for over £100m.
However, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo are reporting that United are prepared to pay Barcelona the £153m required to prise him away from the Nou Camp.
Barcelona, on the other hand, are hopeful that the 17-year-old will agree a new contract with an increased £360m release clause.Incumbent club president Josep Maria.
