Manchester United have been afforded an extra week of preparation ahead of the new Premier League season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and local rivals Manchester City were both given an extra week off by football’s governing bodies after their respective exploits in European competitions last month.
The Red Devils will begin their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace in Saturday’s evening game, which will kickstart a hectic schedule spanning right through until May next year.
Despite football action being on pause for United, the transfer rumour mill has continued to circulate around the club with several high-profile names linked with a move to Old Trafford.
