Rasmus Hojlund replaced Zirkzee in the starting lineup at the Emirates Stadium in one of six changes from the side that beat Everton.
Marcus Rashford also dropped out for Alejandro Garnacho, with Mason Mount and Manuel Ugarte coming into the midfield instead of Casemiro and the suspended Kobbie Mainoo.
Harry Maguire also deputized for Lisandro Martinez, the other absentee through suspension, while Amad dropped out for Tyrell Malacia.
