Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has stepped down from his role with UEFA amid plans for a European Super League.Woodward was appointed onto UEFA’s Professional Football Strategy Council as an ECA representative in September 2017.However, United have now resigned from the European Club Association with Woodward also stepping down from his role.It comes amid plans for a new European Super League with the Red Devils one of 12 founding members.United owner Joel Glazer will be one of the vice-chairmen of the Super League, which is being led by Florentino Perez.Clubs finally confirmed plans for the Super League late on Sunday evening following a day of criticism of football’s future.Manchester United are one of six Premier.
